Makeup vs Paint brush

 MAKEUP BRUSHES

 VS
PAINT BRUSHES

Makeup brushes can be a bit pricey mac brushes can range up to $40+ and if you want something cheap its impossible to get the same quality as the expensive one, yeah I went to drug stores and some of the good ones are still a little bit pricey $14 bucks specially if you are on a tight budget the cheap ones doesnt really have the greatest quality but hey thats what you get for paying cheap right? I went to Michaels Arts and craft its my ultimate favorite store, went to a paint section, I stay there for a good half hour trying to compare one from the other, Just like as you were shopping to the makeup brushes you need to find the softest one, Art brushes have also different uses but if you find the right one you can compare it to a mac brush and they are almost the same quality, some paint brushes are also made with real hair just like makeup brushes some are made from synthetic which is my favorite since they are so soft. So how can you tell which brush are good? Touching them feels totally different from actually applying it on your face but of course you don't want to apply any brushes straight to your face without cleaning it, try it on your forearm since the skin is so thin it will give a good feel of the bristles atleast thats how I do it. I found some good foundation brush from the craft store it cost only $2.99 theres also angle brush, liner brush and many more they are all $2.99each theres also real hair and synthetic , theres also some that sells for $5.99 the quality is excellent and made from real hair, If you find the right one it can save you lots of $$$, I am not saying I am against makeup brushes because I love them smashbox is actually one of my favorite but like I said if you are on a tight budget and wanted to save some cash you can go for some paint brush.

Types of Paint brushes (hairs)
Hog bristles- the bristles are really tough since they are usually used for paints and since paints are really thick so this is a NO NO

Sable and synthetic fibers- this is great for acrylic since hairs are more flexible also great makeup brush

Water color brushes - This are the softest one synthetic fibers are really thin kind of hair and really soft

What natural hairs are used in paint brushes?
  • Sable: (Also used in makeup brushes) The ultimate soft brush is made from the hairs on the tail of a sable marten; these taper naturally, so when they're put into a brush they form a point. Sable brushes are expensive, but are renowned for their softness, flexibility, and fine point. Kolinsky sable from Siberia has traditionally been considered the best hair for watercolor brushes.
  • Squirrel: (Also used in makeup brushes) Cheaper than sable, squirrel is a soft hair with little spring. Larger squirrel brushes work better than smaller ones because the mass of hairs together gives them support.
  • Hog/bristle: The ultimate hard brush is made from the hairs on the back of a pig (hog), which are strong yet springy. The bristles have natural split-ends, which increases the amount of paint they hold. Used for oils and acrylics.
  • Camel: Brushes labeled 'camel' hair are really made from other types of soft hair. Camel hair is unsuitable for brushes because it's too woolly.
  • Ox: Long, strong and springy hair.
  • Pony: Coarse hair that doesn't form a good point. Often used in cheaper brushes
  • Goat: Lacks spring, but forms a good point. Used in calligraphy and Chinese Brush painting.
Now that we know which hair uses to which  brush, next is whats the difference from synthetic and natural hair.

If you are vegan and cruelty free then your best choice is probably the synthetic fiber if you ask me synthetic fibers are great since the fibers are really so soft and no pointy edge feel it is also hypoallergenic

Natural Hair are also great they are a bit pricey, they come from animals, so if you are a cruelty free you probable do not want this, yes most of the time the animals are unharmed and well taken care off, but I cannot speak for everyone, its your choice.

How to tell a good brush?
Here are the name parts of your brush

-Make sure ferrules that are seamless, as they help prevent or minimize liquids such as water from leaking inside and damaging the tuft.
-lacquered or enameled are good since it can prevent it from deterioration

I hope this helps you on how you can choose the right brush for you :)

Cause of a selfish Drunk Driver

I read this on one of the forums I used to visit years ago and I didnt realize I still have this so I thought I might share this it touches my heart so much

So here it is

I was walking around in a store. I saw a cashier hand this little boy his money back saying "I'm sorry you do not have enough money to buy the doll."

Then the little boy turned to the old woman next to him: ''Granny, are you sure I don't have enough money?''

The old lady replied: ''You know that you don't have enough money to buy this doll, my dear.''

Then she asked him to stay there for 5 minutes while she went to look around. She left quickly.

The little boy was still holding the doll in his hand.

Finally, I walked toward him and I asked him who he wished to give this doll to.

"It is the doll that my sister loved most and wanted so much for

this Christmas. She was so sure that Santa Claus would bring it to her."

I replied to him that maybe Santa Claus will bring it to her after all, and not to worry.

But he replied to me sadly. "No, Santa Claus cannot bring it to her where she is now. I have to give the doll to my mommy so that she can give it to her when she goes there."

His eyes were so sad while saying this. "My sister has gone to be with God. Daddy says that Mommy will also go to see God very soon, so I thought that she could bring the doll with her to give it to my sister.''

My heart nearly stopped.

The little boy looked up at me and said: "I told daddy to tell mommy not to go yet. I asked him to wait until I come back from the mall."

Then he showed me a very nice photo of him where he was laughing. He then told me "I also want mommy to take this photo with her so that she will not forget me."

"I love my mommy and I wish she doesn't have to leave me, but daddy says that she has to go to be with my little sister"

Then he looked again at the doll with sad eyes, very quietly.

I quickly reached for my wallet and took a few notes and said to the boy. "What if we checked again, just in case you have enough money?''

"Ok" he said "I hope that I have enough." I added some of my money to his without him seeing and we started to count it. There was enough for the doll and even some spare money.

The little boy said: "Thank you God for giving me enough money."

Then he looked at me and added "I asked yesterday before I slept for God to make sure I have enough money to buy this doll so that mommy can give it to my sister. He heard me.''

"I also wanted to have enough money to buy a white rose for my mommy, but I didn't dare to ask God too much. But He gave me enough to buy the doll and the white rose.''

"You know, my mommy loves white roses."

A few minutes later, the old lady came again and I left with my

basket.

I finished my shopping in a totally different state from when I

started. I couldn't get the little boy out of my mind.

Then I remembered a local newspaper article 2 days ago, which

mentioned of a drunk man in a truck, who hit a car, where there was one young lady and a little girl.

The little girl died right away, and the mother was left in a critical state. The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the life-assisting machine, because the young lady would not be able to get out of the coma.

Was this the family of the little boy?

Two days after this encounter with the little boy, I read in the newspaper that the young lady had passed away.

I couldn't stop myself as I bought a bunch of white roses and I went to the Funeral Home where the body of the young woman was exposed for people to see and make last wishes before burial.

She was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her chest.

I left the place water-eyed, feeling that my life had been changed forever. The love that this little boy had for his mother and his sister is still, to this day, hard to imagine. And in a fraction of a second, a drunk man had taken all this away from him.

A very interesting day

I went for a walk today and stop by an asian store just so happen that the lady working there is Filipino just like me, I greeted and and gave her a smile I ask her for some lucky stuff she said today is the year of the tiger, I am alway curious about feng shui anyway, but I notice she was looking at me weird so I ask her if she is filipino she told me she was, and I talk to her in tagalog she still had this weird look and she ask me "what did you do to yourself?" I was like what do you mean she said why did you pierce your lips and I said whats wrong with it, she said that people with piercings are in a gang and I just laugh and said well I guess you were wrong I am not in a gang or whatsoever, I told her doesnt mean a person has lip piercing  they are bad or in a gang, she ask me where I work and what I do and I told her, I said that is one problem that some people have they discriminate others way before they get to know them, I told her my husband has a full sleeve tat on both arms and she has this shock look on her face and I told her do you know that he works at the school she said tats are sign of a gang I said no he was accepted to work at a school because he has a good background and he works with kids, she said well its not a good example for kids, I told her why not? he is good at what he does and everybody likes him and he is well respected, She said if the parents has tat or piercing it is more likely for the kid to be like them and i told her I have a daughter who is an honor student and all of her teacher said she is a good kid and they told me I did a good job, which makes me so happy and I couldnt  be any more proud, I told her that the credibility of a person to do certain things whether they are a parents or a worker doesnt base on their appearance but what they can contribute to other. I said I walk in the street and I get approach by people and tells me God loves you or any other religious quote, they talk to me like that because they think Im a devil worshiper, What they dont know is I probably know more about religion than they are I been studying religion since I was 5, I am a catholic, the difference between me and some religious people is that I respect all kind of people whether they believe in God or not, because I judge them by how they treat people not what they believe in, I have met atheist, agnostic, all types of religious people and I havent argue with anyone of them because I learn to respect them by who they are. I dont push them something they dont want to believe but instead I try to learn something from them listen to where they come from and why they think that way in exchange I get respect and they listen to what I say, theres a big difference in argument and exchanging opinions,  I learn that you cannot make another person believe in something they dont want to believe but we can be all good people, My husband is not a religious person but we respect each other we share our different beliefs by doing little good things to others, we are not perfect and looks doesnt make someone better than the other.

Honestly I wasnt upset that the lady come forward and ask me I appreciate her for being honest and telling it straight to my face that way I can share what she dont understand and maybe I can learn something from her, yeah I could have flip out and cuss at her but I didnt do it because if I did I prove to her that she is right that people with piercings or tat are bad people, beside I am not like that anyway, we had a decent conversation and I left the store happy and I hope she was able to learn something from our conversation, because I certainly learn something from her, that you shouldnt hate people that criticize you but rather take it as a challenge. I believe that all people have good in their hearts to some they just have to find it :)
